Acai Bowl Season
Acai bowls are here to stay. Don't be stressed about making your own ever again!
We don't know when acai bowls became a trend, but we sure do appreciate it. Oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, and acai bowls are definitely sweet breakfast staples in our homes. An acai bowl is perfect for a lazy weekend morning breakfast or it can be the refreshing treat you need for lunch on a hot day. Oh and it is way cheaper and more fun to create your own bowl than to order out.
Prepares 2 small or 1 large bowl
Prep Time: 10 minutes
1 frozen packet Sambazon organic acai
1/2 a frozen banana
1 C mixed frozen berries
1 Tbsp unsalted almond butter
4-6 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Toppings: almond butter, berries, fresh banana, coconut clusters or granola
Pro Tip: You want the fruit frozen for the bowl to stay thick. If your berries and banana are room temp, then the smoothie bowl will be a runny consistency.
1. Run the acai packet under cold water for 5-10 seconds then break it up.
2. Combine acai, frozen fruit, almond butter and 4 tbsp almond milk in food processor. Blend to smooth consistency. Add additional milk as needed and use spatula to scrape down sides of bowl.
3. Serve immediately with desired toppings.
